Fax to Email
Facsimile (fax) is a method of encoding data and transmitting it over a regular telephone line so that it can be received in the form of hard copy. A fax machine scans an image (text, photograph, drawing, etc.) by reading one small area of the image at a time. Then the fax machine transmits that imagine to a remote facsimile receiver via telephone lines. Computer-based fax is a term that applies to using computers instead of fax machines to send and receive faxes. This is where email fax comes in.
Fax to email is as its name suggests. You will get your own personal number. This number belongs to you exclusively. People can send faxes to your number. When the fax is received, it is re-packaged automatically and forwarded to your email account as a graphic (picture) email attachment. You do not need a fax machine, fax telephone or any other special software to receive faxes. It is as simple as receiving an email.
Some advantages are that your fax number never changes, even if you move offices because you have a unique number. You fax number will never be busy – faxes can get through at any time.
